Lucia Gahlin
Lucia Gahlin is an Egyptologist with over 30 years experience in all aspects of Ancient Egyptian history and culture - teaching, research, excavation and museum work.
As an archaeologist she has been Small Finds Registrar at the site of Amarna in Egypt, and as a museum curator she has focused on objects from this fascinating site in London’s Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology. Lucia has taught Egyptology at several UK universities, including University College London, Bristol and Exeter.
She has been an Honorary Research Associate at UCL’s Institute of Archaeology, a Trustee of the Egypt Exploration Society, Director of Bloomsbury Summer School, and Chair of the Friends of the Petrie Museum.
She has published books and chapters Ancient Egyptian religion, including the best-seller ‘Egypt: gods, myths and religion’.
These days Lucia lectures on Ancient Egypt around the world, guides in museum galleries, and leads and lectures on tours in Egypt.
