Between two wars: the music of the 1920s and 30s

from £320.00

Monday 10th March - Wednesday 12th March

The music of the 1920s and 30s is full of excitement and colour. Brilliant talents such as Dimitri Shostakovich, Benjamin Britten, George Gershwin and many more appeared, and novel elements such as jazz and neo-classicism were developed. But it was also a period of tension and anxiety, as the threat of hostilities remaine ever-present; that too is reflected in the great music of the time.

Nestled in the Somerset countryside with a meandering river, tranquil lake and 14-acres of glorious gardens, our home for the course is the truly stunning Haselbury Mill. Steeped in history with a timeless charm, throughout your stay you’ll enjoy delicious food, beautiful accommodation and the very warmest of welcomes.

The course runs from dinner on the first day (10th March) until lunch on the last day (12th March)
